Strategic alternatives

During the post-merger phase, the personnel work of the buyer and the target company can be designed in various ways.
Main types:

  • "everything-stays-the-same policy", i.e. each company pursues its own personnel management as before
  • one-sided transfer of concepts and instruments of the personnel work from the buyer to the target company
  • two-sided transfer of concepts and instruments of the personnel work between the buyer and the target company according to the guiding principle "learn from each other"
  • "zero base concept", i.e. start from scratch, regardless of the previous personnel policies of the involved companies


Optimisation concept of ISPA consult

ISPA consult developed a consulting concept showing how to achieve or how to get closer to a companywide optimum instead of suboptimal personnel work of the buying company and the target company. Here, we merely aim at a limited unification and standardisation of the buying company and the target company.

This is a multi-level concept, which is based on an elaborate multi project management including DP support.
